Frequently Asked Questions
Transportation?
All the information about finding your bus stop or requesting a new bus stop can be found on the EPS District site.
Literature?
Parents have the right to know what our curriculum contains. I am continuing to review the literature through the current process that involves both parents and teachers working collaboratively.
Funding?
For EPS to receive funding, EPS is required to teach the Oklahoma Academic Standards. Our most recent audit performed by Mr. Kerry John Patten, C.P.A. gave EPS a superior rating on the tracking of all funds and no improprieties were found.
School Resource Officers?
The partnership EPS continues to have with the Edmond Police Department, provides EPS with some awesome School Resource Officers (SRO’s) on site. In January of 2022 EPS was able to add more SRO’s. Now every Edmond high school has 2 SRO’s per school site, Boulevard Academy and the middle schools have 1 SRO per school site. EPD encourages their field officers to do paperwork in school parking lots to present a stronger presence around our schools to help keep our kids safe. More information can be found on the EPS site.
CRT?
Oklahoma House Bill 1775 bans CRT in public schools. EPS is not teaching CRT nor has the district received any formal complaints regarding CRT being taught in our schools.
School Immunizations?
The State of Oklahoma sets the vaccine requirements and exemptions for Oklahoma’s schools. Any vaccine mandate would have to come from the Oklahoma Legislature.

Parent opportunities?
Our schools welcome parents looking for opportunities to serve. Parents have many options to be involved including but not limited to PTO Meetings, Christmas store volunteer, Lunch PALS, Teacher PALS, Art PALS, classroom reader, attending plays, band and choir performances, attending sporting events, involvement with academic clubs, booster clubs, subbing, and more.
